Program Manager

 

Purpose of the Job: You will be responsible for the efficient organizing, controlling and management of the delivery of programs under KCFS.

 

Reports to: Director of K'wak'walat'si Child and Family Services

 

Specific Responsibilities:

 

  • General Program Management: Provides administration support in the areas of program reporting, Human Resources, etc.; maintenance of equipment/building; ensuring contractors keep appointments, complete their duties, and submit proper invoices.

     

  • Administration Support: Provides administration support in the areas of general paperwork, purchase orders, maintains staff records; time sheets, etc.; monitors the staff files and general filing system by ensuring they are complete, organized and up to date; relays and coordinates routine communication and/or correspondence; will assist Director in all aspects of Human Resources:

     

  • Budget responsibilities require: assisting in drafting and preparing program budgets; ensuring expenditures are coded and properly accounted for; notify staff of expenditures and entitlements.

     

  • Program Support: Will orient staff to the agency and programs; will ensure training and professional development opportunities are provided to all staff, will provide leadership, guidance, consultation, debriefs and evaluations to staff; coordinates information and collaboration opportunities within the 'Namgis band and other related professionals or services; coordinates information and collaboration opportunities within the 'Namgis band and other related professionals or services; team building

 

 

Required Qualifications/Education:

  • A two year diploma in office management/administrative support education or two years experience
  • Demonstrated leadership, managerial, supervisory, administrative, and human resources
  • Demonstrated skills in planning, organizing, controlling, negotiating, and decision making
  • Demonstrated experience in financial planning and cost control
  • Ability to deal tactfully with emotionally charged client issues and manage crisis situations
  • Ability to plan and implement policy, strategic and operational plans
  • Experience with computer programs, i.e. Word Perfect, Excel, Microsoft Outlook, the Internet, etc
  • Ability to work flexible hours on occasion
  • Interpersonal communication skills
