U'mista Cultural Centre

In 1980 the Cultural Centre was built to house the "Potlatch Collection" of repatriated artifacts such as masks and other regalia.

This collection of historic and contemporary totem poles denotes the oldest burial ground on Cormorant Island.

Ecological Park

Known locally as "Gator Gardens," this marsh with its huge candelabra cedars, lichens and water plants is a delight for nature lovers.

Trail System

Over 16 km of forested trails stretch around and across our island. They are a key recreational resource for local walkers, cyclists and joggers.
